Midsummer

Hello and long time no see! I've been on the go for quite a while now, busy with all kinds of summery activities with friends, gotta take advantage of this awesome weather while I can so excuse my absence! 

I had awesome, long weekend with bunch of friends at the cottage in Sappee. Best midsummer celebration, I must say! 4 days, awesome people and so much epic stuff I could keep talking for days. 

Here's our cottage BEFORE we totally fucked it up. Seriously, there was no chance we could have cleaned it all up before we had to return the keys.

We managed to do a quick visit to Tampere on Friday and I had to get a tourist pic. I had my eyes closed in every single one of them. Note how I managed to dye the black pars of my hair blueish black.

Nearest beach was 3 km away from the cottage but swimming was obligatory because midsummer.

Third day and I was too exhausted to try and look good.

Our neighbors bought a whole box of Dumle lollipops , just because ''they felt like licking the chocolate off them''.

We left the uncleaned ( still waiting for the cleaning bill with curiosity ) cottage on Sunday morning and I headed to glorious kingdom of Koivukylä to wrap the whole midsummer celebration up.

All in all, great weekend and great company. I'm pretty sure this trip will be one of those stories I keep telling over and over again and bore all nurses at the nursing home when I'm 90 and suffer from alzheimer.

Last Saturday my friend had his graduation party and dress code was somewhere between formal and casual... I guess it's called smart casual ? I'm really bad at these kind of things. Anyways, my friend Samu is a real chef now *proud*! These kinds of events always make me wonder what I should do with my life, being a shop assistant isn't exactly my dream profession. 

But the party was a great success, even though I arrived quite late and missed the feast  . I heard they had a WHOLE ROASTED PIG in the dinner table. I don't even eat meat but I would have wanted to see that. I managed to take good advantage of the open bar tho..maybe even bit too good.

Beach bum

I've been meaning to post this for many days already but I've been lazier than ever,blah.

It's been hot hot hot in Finland for past couple weeks! Like to the point of heat exhaustion, yesterday I spent good 30 minutes sitting under a tree and sipping cola because I suddenly felt like I'm going to die right there.

In this insane heat,  beach bumming is the thing. Some cold drinks, good company and most casual clothes in the world, aww yissss.

As you may have noticed, I tend to wear fuckloads of black, but on a beach I love all- white. Weird, huh? My beach bum look always consists loose tank tops, shorts and a high ponytail, wrapped with light scarf. Works every time! This top I just simply cut from men's t-shirt from Sure, their prints work wonders with casual beach look.
